We did a KWL chart and wrote down what we already knew about the Titanic and what we would like to find out. In small groups we researched the information ourselves using books we got from the library. With our groups we did a project to show what we learned and displayed the information on a chart.
In Art we constructed our own Titanic ships! We did this in pairs. It is great to work with somebody else, we did great team work! After we constructed them we began painting them. They turned out great. We are very proud of them! We wrote newspaper articles for around the time of when the Titanic set sail and of its sinking.
Today we brought home our Titanic ships. As we worked in pairs we are taking turns to bring them home, so if we brought it home today we will bring them back to school tomorrow for our partner to bring home. Then we will have a raffle to see who will keep it. We hope you like them as much as we do!
